Some Remembrance activities
On and around Remembrance Day, our kids are invited to take their place in honouring those we remember. As they they comprehend the sacrifice brave men and women have made for us, it’s also a chance to help them explore the depth of Jesus’ love and sacrifice for us.
The Jesus storybook bible has a wonderful telling of Jesus’ death. You might like to take some time with your children this weekend to watch it together and talk about why Jesus died. Perhaps your children need to hear that God loves them so much he was willing to let Jesus die for all the things they get wrong and when we say sorry Jesus forgives us and we can be friends with God forever.
