Our new vicar, Revd. Laurence Smith was inducted at St James by the Bishop of Reading on the evening of Wednesday September 26th. You can now listen to the Bishop’s sermon here. The St James family extends a very warm welcome to Laurence and his wife Hannah. Laurence’s first services at St James were on Sunday 30th September. You can listen to Laurence’s  sermons here.
A reminder that LiFT will be happening on Tuesday evening 23rd October – 8pm till 9pm in the front of church. All are welcome.
St James Café will closed on 25th October (half term holiday). Normal service will resume on 1st November. Look out for our winter menu options.

STIR UP SATURDAY Back by popular request! We will be holding an evening of making Christmas Puddings and other seasonal treats on Saturday 1 December at 7pm. Reserve this date in your diary. Tickets will be available nearer the event.
St James Church Centre now has a Defibrillator available 24×7 mounted on the wall nearest the car park.  If you need it in an emergency call 999 to obtain the access code. Located at Kingfisher Drive RG5 3LH. Click for more details.

On Sundays, we have 2 services each week 9 am and 10.30 am. Then on the second Sunday of the month at 4 pm, we have Messy Church.  During the week we also run a Holy Communion service which is on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am. We look forward to welcoming you at one of these services and getting to know you.
