St James’ is committed to supporting other charities and organisations share the Good News of Jesus, both in the UK and abroad. Our Mission Support Group links the church with these partners:
We give financial and prayer support to several overseas missions:
- In Thailand, Jon and Elise Fletcher work with Urban Neighbours of Hope (working amongst some of the poorest in Bangkok).
- In Tanzania, Ben and Katy Ray have relocated from Neema Crafts, Iringa, and are now part of SAFI in Usa River near Urusha, seeking to widen the scope of training people with disabilities in craftwork, where we continue to support them.
- L.A.M.B Hospital in Bangladesh, which does community health work.
- In the Democratic Republic of Congo, the Church Mission Society works with local partners and the Kimbillio charity, to provide care for marginalised children and young people.
We also support two local charities:
- JAC (Just Around the Corner), an organisation founded and run by former members of St James’, which helps vulnerable young people to make wise life choices.
- Yeldall Manor, a local Christian drug rehabilitation centre.
An information flyer with the latest details of these missions and charities can be downloaded below, and hardcopies are available from Church.
