Sunday 4th July: Adore

I wonder what you think of when you hear the word ‘Adore’. I must admit I think of the Christmas Carol ‘O come all ye faithful’. If you look up ‘adore’ in the dictionary it says: to love and respect (someone) deeply. Do you know how much God loves you?

This week the Cheekly Pandas are spring cleaning and Milo accidentally sends their precious belongings to the charity shop. They learn about the parable of the hidden treasure, and that the best treasure we can find is discovering how much God loves us.

Another song that reminds us how special we are to God – we are God’s treasure.

On your prayer adventure map you’ll find a game where you need to use the metal detector to find 6 items hidden in the sand. The game will help you to think about which item is the most valuable and how it helps us to know how much God loves us.

The bible tells us so much about God and how much he loves us. Have a look at John 3:16, it tells us just how much God loves us.

God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.

John 3:16 The Bible

You can read all about Jesus and how he was willing to die for each one of us, to be punished for all the wrong things we do because he loved us so much.

Take some time to think about God’s gift of love to you.

I wonder how that makes you feel.

O come, let us adore Him Christ the Lord
