Remembrance Sunday – November 2016

In common with events held throughout the nation we remembered the fallen at our services on Sunday 13th November. We were joined by our resident Rainbow Brownies, Brownies, and Guides at our 1030 Morning Worship. The 7th & 10th Woodley Lakeside Brownies made a significant contribution to the decoration of the Church by creating a long frieze of poppies which stretched across both the front and back of church. This had been produced by over 20 Brownies as part of gaining their ‘Artist’ badges. They had spent time learning about Armistice Day before using their creative skills to paint the poppies, which complemented the Floral display provided by a member of our Flower Team.
