St James Harvest Supper – 04 October 2014
About 60 people gathered at St James for the ‘60s/70s’ Harvest Supper. Whilst enjoying their bangers and mash, they tackled quiz questions from the era set by an ageing hippie aka Mike Blackmun. After their meal they were treated to a tribute act- Status Quod who in true Top of the Pops style mimed their way through ‘Rockin’ All Over The World’. A gallant effort by rockers of such an advanced age!
Participation in the twist and the conga proved the oldies can still hack it and that you don’t have to remember the sixties to enjoy them! The tombola was a great success raising £98, thanks to your generous donations. Altogether £455 was raised towards the roof fund and our thanks go to the event team: Irene & Tony Parker, Jeanette Mooney, Mike Blackmun, Frank Box and Andy & Alison Mullens.
