We are a lively and loving family church, built for and supported by our local community, and now celebrating 50 years. Our aim is to teach Jesus and encourage people to grow in faith through contemporary worship and learning the Bible together. Latest News – March 2020

Well done St James. We have been awarded an Eco Church bronze award in recognition of our progress in reducing the impact of the church and church members on the environment. Next stop – silver.


It will come as no surprise to you all that next week’s visit by the Saltmine Theatre Company has sadly been cancelled. Refunds on tickets will be given. Becki  has the monies in the office, so please see her for your refund.
 
Regretably the Uganda Quiz Night planned for Saturday 21st March has had to be cancelled.
Please be advised that all sessions of St James’s Cafe are cancelled until further notice.
The Church Electoral Roll is being revised for the coming year. If you are intending to attend the APCM you will need to be on the Roll, if you are not currently included in the present St. James Electoral Roll and you would like to be, you will need to fill out an Application form. SAVE THE DATE“A Day in the Ark” – currently the final event of our 50th year celebrations is to have a Church Day Away at the Ark centre, St Andrews Sonning. The date to save is Saturday October 3rd. The original date for this was September 26th so do update your diaries with the revised date. Details of what promises to be a rather special weekend will be available in the near future.
St James Church Centre reached its 50th Anniversary on 30th November and we are celebrating over the coming year with a series of events, the first of which was a Celebration event on 30th November – to view photos and a report of this please click here.

St James Church Centre now has a Defibrillator available 24×7 mounted on the wall nearest the car park.  If you need it in an emergency call 999 to obtain the access code. Located at Kingfisher Drive RG5 3LH. Click for more details.
We now record the sermons from many of our 1030 Morning Worship services. You can listen online or download for offline listening later, or catch up on any you may have missed. See ‘Sermons’ on the top menu or click here.

On Sundays, we have 2 services each week 9 am and 10.30 am. Then on the second Sunday of the month at 4 pm, we have Messy Church.  During the week we also run a Holy Communion service which is on the second Wednesday of the month at 10 am.
