Rendezvous is a group that was set up to provide a place for people over 60 to meet together for company and friendship, occasionally we have a meal together and we celebrate members birthdays with a cake and a card. Sometimes we have a talk or a demonstration or make things, nothing very complicated, if I can make it anyone can.
We meet in the church lounge at 10.30am on the 2nd and 4th Wednesdays of the month. The people who are involved in the running of the group are all members of the church, and we try to give a friendly listening ear to people’s problems, but most of all we have fun and enjoy each other’s company.

On the 2nd Wednesday of the month the church has a morning Communion Service at 10am, which some members of Rendezvous attend.
People who need transport are collected and taken home by volunteers from the church.

We try to have a varied and happy program and it is a very relaxed place to be, with good humour and kindness being our main aim. People need to feel valued, especially when we get older and lonelier and the aim of our group is to be a place where people can make friends and know their worth.
We welcome you and your friends to our group in Jesus name and look forward to seeing you at one or many of our meetings.
We ask for a donation of £1 per person per session towards running costs.
New members are welcome and more details are available from the Church Office. Rendezvous is led by Margaret Lowe and her willing team of helpers.

Easter Break – Return 22nd April
As we enter a new decade we may like to remember past decades that we have seen and think how the world has changed. But people are isolated and lonely even in a world that has so much technology to help us stay in contact. That is what makes groups like ours so important. People are important and talking to each other and making friends is what we are here for. Let us meet and laugh and chat together sharing our memories and experiences with our friends enriching each others’ lives in the process. A very Happy New Year to you all. God Bless you.
